Several people have asked me questions about what I intended when I made this video. Was I mocking Christianity? Was I promoting it?
Here are a few notes about the context for this video:
* My son and I made it as a part of a 24 Hour Film festival, where we had several guidelines (has to include a santa, Christmas lights, nutcracker, etc.). So, we didn’t do a lot of pre-meditated planning about the video. * I’m a Christian, and experience Jesus as a living presence that is as real to me as any other person or presence in my life. Loving Jesus is my primary spiritual path. * I don’t believe that any particular image or word can ever fully capture what God is or does. I experience God as bigger than any concept or box I can put God in. I try not to take myself too seriously or literally in my religious path, and I think this video is a reflection of that. On the other hand, being faithful to God’s presence and guidance is the most important thing in my life. I think it is a paradox.
