Jordan Community Garden, 26th Ave. N. and Knox Ave. N.
This garden is a place that represents traumatic events in the neighborhood, but more so, it expresses the resiliency of the community.   The area of woodchips behind me is where the community gathered and took a stand together against crime in the neighborhood last year.  In response, the Governor sent state troopers to the neighborhood, and crime was down to 1960s levels.  In the last year, there have been additional hopeful activities.  Two news homes were constructed and occupied directly across the street, and the store across the street has new ownership.  The new owners are committed to not selling drug paraphernalia, as negotiated with the community.
