In the middle of a worship service at Macarena, the electricity for the town went out, but the pastor kept on preaching without pause.  People in the congregation just shined their flashlights on the pastor.

At the end of this church service, the pastor asked me to come up front and pray for the youth of the church. He introduced me by reassuring the congregation that God understood English too.

At Cadaleria, they have a new worship group, which meets on the side of someone's house.  Under the same outdoor roof as the worship group, there were three women using sewing machines.  The machines hummed throughout most of the service.

The church in La Reina; This is the first Church established in El Salvador when missionaries from Guatemala's YM arrived several generations ago. We visited Emma's and Jose Alberto's relatives for lunch there. White poodles related to "Green" in the intro set of photos also come from La Reina.
