The president (Héctor Pérez) and secretary (René Domínguez) of the Yearly Meeting, during a business session.  There were three days of these sessions. The Yearly Meeting was held in the church at Soyapongo, a suburb of San Salvador.  The secretary (or recording clerk) record all minutes by hand in a permanent bound book. Great care is taken to get it right and it is clearly more laborious than a laptop.

Traditional tortillas, beans and rice were cooked under roofed area, while Yearly Meeting attendees ate in the patio-garden outside the meeting house as well as inside.

A serious business meeting session

Each evening there was a a joyous and prayerful worship service that followed the business meetings.

The worship services included lots of singing, testifying and thanking God, and a sermon.

Aminda de Arevalo is the director of the Friends School at Soyapongo, and also a co-pastor at Soyaponga, where the Yearly Meeting was held.
